About Us

Dr. Blalock was born in Durham, North Carolina. She received her secondary education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Brevard college. In the interim she worked on marketing for Control Data and had a commercial cleaning service. She completed her first year of medical school at ORU School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She then entered Emory University where she completed her medical training. Cynthia completed her residency at Emory as well. While at Emory, she attained the distinction of being on the Dean’s List consistently.

Dr. Blalock has achieved multiple scholastic awards and was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and served as that organization’s Vice President.

Prior to opening her own private urgent care clinic, Dr. Blalock was an emergency room physician at several hospitals in Charleston, SC. Her clinic offers primary care, urgent care, and aesthetic skin care.

Cynthia enjoys sailing, skiing, diving, kayaking, horseback riding, and gardening. She currently resides on Sullivan’s Island and spends many hours enjoying long walks on the beach.
